It's been a while since my last update, but I am sad to say I am no longer working on my weekly show Tormenta Sessions or my bi-weekly show Transition on Sense.FM.
I have begun some new projects and have started spending a lot of time working on tracks ever since I finished school last week.

I would like to start off the new month with this new mix I whipped up recording on my new Traktor setup I just acquired. I dedicate this mix to one of my favorite spots in Chicago.

New Website + Identity Episode 5

Hey guys! It's out with the old and in with the new as mixinvic.com is no longer with us with the new launch of victortormenta.com! I am no longer using dynamod for hosting due to their lack of rss feed accessibility and features. At the moment I am working on adjusting every widget and feed on the site so that it looks normal on everyone's screens so bare with me!

I will add more features to the music section and connect section over the next couple days!

In other news, I have returned from my trip to New York City and have created a new Identity Episode which can be found directly on victortormenta.com or youtube.com/victortormenta . I have put together a video of clips from my experience at the Electric Zoo Festival where i was able to hear Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Sander Van Doorn, Richie Hawtin, Chemical Brothers, Popof, Fedde Le Grad, Dirty South, and many more! Identity Episode 3 + Propaganda @ V-LIVE

It has been awhile since I have updated, but I have finally found time to write back on what has been going on. The opening set at Vision went well with Illuminati (J-Sephora). We performed both for the first time live with the use of an Akai APC40, IPad ft. TouchOSC, and Traktor. Since then I also had the opportunity to play at Chicago Tranceformation's 2 Year Anniversary Party at Bar Celona Thursday, August 5th. Identity Episode 1 & Official Vision Artwork!!

My return from Mexico took some harsh tolls despite the fact that I had a great finale with the Vintage Club gig prior to my departure. I came back with a bacterial infection which has now left me incapable of DJ-ing tonight or tommorow at U!N! and much less capable of going to work at Sunglass Hut. I have too many disgusting symptoms to mention. : ( On the plus side, I am happy to mention that the gig at Vintage went so well.

Mexico Sun, Vintage Life Club Gig & More!

I"m halfway into my short vacation here in Mexico (Irapuato, Gto) and I must say some very good things have happened while down here! On my second day here, I went out to two local clubs here which were both fairly new. (Mao and Vintage Life ) The Mao was very awesome with amazing sound and lighting and a DJ who was video-mixing ( mashups tho : / )

The second place was called Vintage Life Club. They were playing commercial electro house when I walked in .It was natural that I go ask about a last minute booking. After some talking, presentation and good usage of my Iphone app, I was able to secure a booking for Saturday July

4th for a 12-2 spot!! I get to play progressive house and house!!Then the next day I come back home with Continental! The sucky part is that I have a 4 hour lay over in Houston. On top of grabbing some good sun and eating more healthy with

my grandma"s home cooking, I am also finally in the late stages of two original uplifting trance tracks I started working on since Sunday. I"m also working on remixes to Way Out West"s classic hit "Mindcircus" and Wippenberg"s "Chakalaka" which i hope to give to Wippenberg the day I play at Vision July 31st !! : ) Official Flyer coming soon!

Vision Date Announced + More!!

I am still working out a few bugs and stuff that is not showing up in the app so please bare with me as i strive to make updates soon!

The word got back to me yesterday that Illuminati (Jay Sephora) & myself will be opening up the night in Vision's Sky Room July 31st when legendary hybrid-genre producer Wippenberg visits town to play! Wippenberg is responsible for mega hits such as Chakalaka, Pong, and Frozen!! My personal favorite is without a doubt the Sphaera remix of his hit Promise Land. More details to follow!!


I also finally got new headphones since my 3rd Technics pair was already on its last working right side. : ( R.I.P !!.......but I got myself some Allen & Heath Xone 53's!!








Until then I'll update soon on upcoming stuff I have at Enigma Lounge among a few other spots still being discussed. I'm leaving for Mexico for 10 days this Friday.
